I met Juanita in a very transformative time in my life; I was in the valley of my youth, traversing between the peaks of childhood and mountains of manhood. These years were transformative in a "live fast, die young" kind of way, and although I look back with a light heart, I see now that there were people that had influenced me beyond measure.

They say that we all have one thing in common. We all have a mother. There are so many different mothers that a man can have in his lifetime. The one we're born with, the ones we accept as our own, the ones that accept us as their own, and the ones we initiate into motherhood. Juanita has been a mother to me for many years and has shaped my understanding of what it means to love with a full heart and to have a kindness and gentleness that only comes through true strength.

I once read that I should write something worth reading or do something worth writing about. Well, I can tell you this, there aren't many people who can say that they've done both; Juanita is one of those special people that can change your life with a simple smile or a kind word. She has a heart that heals and a presence that's unparalleled. Without her influence, my life would not be the same, and for that, I say, thank you, Juanita.

I can not fully express in words the amount of gratitude and joy I hold within to have received such a Beautiful, Empowering and Pure friendship. Juanita's wisdom and experience in life, mixed in with her self awareness manifested into an authentic and pure version of herself. It's rare and truly beautiful, inspiring and infectious. Juanita has a special place in my heart; her friendship, guidance and love is reciprocal to an empowering friendship.

She is often found gracefully helping and guiding those around her to realize the same potential within them. Messages to enjoy life purposefully, serve and embrace the gift of life as an authentic version of yourself, as well as to serve Earth and those around you with support, love and care is what is represented and radiated by her. You have shown not only me but everyone in your path how beautiful life can be and we need to celebrate that with the people we love... I met Juanita on the wild side, literally. Our paths crossed for the first time a few years ago in Coffee Bay. She had just started her journey into a new chapter of life. So did I. She is one of the reasons why I felt confident to make the big move to leave my mother country to live in this beautiful part of the world. She taught me to believe in my dreams and in myself. She is my sister and she is a mother figure for me, an anchor point in my life.

She is my inspiration to truly follow my own truth, to enjoy life, to love unconditionally and to focus on what is really important.
